Technological validation of the GUARDIANE-Q system

Technological validation of the GUARDIANE-Q system

GUARDIANE-Q incorporates a technology demonstration and validation programme aimed at progressively verifying the coherence and viability of the comprehensive system developed in the project.

Throughout the project, different test scenarios are designed and executed to evaluate how the various components of the technological architecture interact: from advanced monitoring and data analysis to resilient communications and cybersecurity mechanisms.

This approach allows for verifying that the researched technologies can be integrated in a coherent manner and contribute to reinforcing the protection of critical hydrogen storage infrastructures in representative environments of the energy sector.

Overview

What does "validate" mean in GUARDIANE-Q

In the context of the project, validate means progressively checking that the different technological components work in an integrated manner. Validation focuses on demonstrating the functional coherence of the technological architecture and its capacity to operate in representative scenarios.

This implies verifying that:

01
Monitoring systems

They can detect relevant signals

method and success criteria

01

Definition of realistic risk scenarios

02

Experimental trials in controlled environments

03

Functional prototyping of technological components

04

Integrated technology demonstrators

This approach enables the evaluation of the system's robustness, its early detection capacity, the continuity of communications and the effectiveness of response mechanisms.

The results are communicated publicly in aggregate terms, avoiding the disclosure of sensitive information related to the security of critical infrastructures.

Technology demonstrators

The project includes the development of various technological demonstrators to validate the main components of the GUARDIANE-Q system.

This demonstrator evaluates the capability of multi-sensor systems to detect anomalies in energy infrastructures. The tests combine different sensor technologies and allow the validation of early detection of relevant signals, as well as the generation of alerts classified according to their level of criticality.
