GUARDIANE-Q is an industrial research project aimed at the design and conceptual validation of an integrated protection system for critical renewable hydrogen storage infrastructures.

The project combines intelligent monitoring, advanced cybersecurity, and multi-threat response protocols with the aim of reinforcing the resilience of these strategic infrastructures. Through the integration of different technological domains u2014 from advanced risk analysis to resilient communications and post-quantum cryptography u2014 GUARDIANE-Q explores new capabilities to anticipate, detect, and mitigate physical, environmental, and digital threats.
Its purpose is to contribute to reinforcing the resilience of national energy infrastructures, improve technological autonomy in strategic sectors, and consolidate sovereign protection capabilities against hybrid threats.
The project is aligned with Mission 6 of the CDTI's 2025 Science and Innovation Missions programme:
u201cCapacity building for strategic autonomy in security and defenceu201d.
Mission and public impact
Objectives
GENERAL
To design, research and conceptually validate a comprehensive intelligent monitoring system, advanced cybersecurity and response protocols against multiple threats applied to critical renewable hydrogen storage infrastructures.
This system will make it possible to anticipate, detect and mitigate risks that could compromise the integrity, security and operational continuity of strategic infrastructures for energy sovereignty.

specific
Scope and approach
scope
GUARDIANE-Q is developed from an applied industrial research perspective, combining advanced modelling, functional prototyping and experimental validation in controlled or representative environments.
The project does not envisage the industrial deployment of final solutions, but rather the generation of technological knowledge and the conceptual validation of advanced security architectures for critical infrastructures.
validation approach
This approach allows for the evaluation of the consistency and effectiveness of the different solutions developed throughout the project, verifying their integration within an end-to-end security architecture.
The technological validation is proposed progressively through the combination of:
01
Advanced analytics
02
Experimental trials
03
Technology demonstrators
Funding and consortium
Funding model
GUARDIANE-Q is funded by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) under the Science and Innovation Missions 2025 programme, within Mission 6 aimed at strategic autonomy in security and defence.
